"I paint figurative objects to tell stories and demonstrate personal narratives. My work is very much autobiographical, through the reoccurring image of inanimate objects and fragments in my environment. From the inception, I was more interested in glorifying everyday objects and elevating their importance on the picture plane.
The symbolic figures have further evolved to represent myself and others close to me, to convey a story, expressing personal and intimate experiences in my life. The narratives I create are composed in a peculiar, ambiguous manner. My subject matter involves ordinary objects, which work as significant characters in the stories I aim to portray. The objects play as figures and also as objects. Their roles change throughout varying compositions. My objective is to evoke emotion from my viewers. I want my paintings to move you and to induce a memory or a feeling."
